Premier Buzek addresses a gathering of Polonia, organized by the PAC Division

On June 9, 2002, former Polish Premier Jerzy Buzek visited Washington and met with Polonia. First, he attended Mass at Our Lady Queen of Poland Parish (above, left), where he was warmly greeted by the Pastor, Rev. Klemens Dądbrowski, and the Chairperson of the Parish Pastoral Council, Irena Mirecki.

Subsequently, he addressed a gathering organized by the PAC Division in the Knight of Columbus Hall across the street from the Parish.

He spoke about the last Polish elections, which elected a government led by former Communists, and addressed the opposition's attempts to reorganize for the next election. He especially addressed the local elections (cities, towns, counties) to be held in October of 2002.
