Washington Metropolitan Area Division

 
The Division's Annual Thanksgiving Dinner was held on
Sunday, November 23, at the Kenwood Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.

This year's recipient of the Division's Award of Recognition was the Polish American Arts Association of Washington DC, a Member Organization of the Division, in recognition of their 37 years of efforts to propagate Polish Arts and Culture in American society.

Division President Thaddeus Mirecki presents the plaque to Dr. Estelle von Wachtel Torres,
President of PAAA. At right is Director Bernadette Wiermanski who did the introduction. 

The inscription on the plaque reads:

In recognition of your dedicated efforts in the

and involvement in Polish culture, in the fields of arts,
literature, cinema, higher education and
the traditions of our forefathers.
